Server Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Server administration, virtualization, storage, and network management. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and implementing security best practices in a multi-domain environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server Administration:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Configure and administer DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory services.
• Oversee and troubleshoot domain controllers and multi-domain environments.
• Implement and manage Group Policies for user and system configurations.
• Plan and execute server migrations, upgrades, and patch management.

Storage & Backup:

• Basic knowledge of storage solutions and backup tools.
• Ensure data backup policies and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.

Ticketing & Change Management:

• Handle tickets efficiently using [Specify Ticketing Tool].
• Follow ITSM and change management processes.
• Create and document changes as per organizational policies.

Virtualization & Cloud:

• Manage and upgrade VMware ESXi hosts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues (e.g., server down scenarios).
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.

Monitoring & Hardware Management:

• Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and health status.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting for Cisco and Dell servers.
• Maintain proper cabling and rack organization in data centers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
• Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience managing domain controllers and multi-domain environments.
• Familiarity with storage solutions and backup tools.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and ITSM frameworks.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with server hardware (Cisco/Dell) and data center management.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (MCSA, MCSE)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• AWS/Azure Certifications (Preferred)
