Job Summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco / Aruba and Dell network devices, including routers and switches. The role involves daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability and performance of LAN/WAN infrastructure in Datacentre.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure and maintain Cisco / Aruba and Dell routers, switches, and related network devices.
• Implement and manage routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Perform regular network health checks and monitor performance.
• Configure and maintain VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, and STP.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages using standard tools (ping, traceroute, etc.).
• Maintain and apply standard network security practices (ACLs, port security, etc.).
• Coordinate with ISPs for leased lines, MPLS, and internet connections.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and regular configuration backups.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and changes.
• Ensure proper configuration and monitoring of SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog.
• Support network infrastructure for on-premises and branch office locations or Business Partner support.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., server, security) for cross-functional issues.
• Participate in DR drills and incident response planning related to network availability.
• Regular Backup, VAPT and compliance of network devices
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Cisco routers (ISR/ASR) and switches (Catalyst/Nexus).
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts.
• Experience with routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.
• Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, ACLs, and QoS.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, STP, VTP, and HSRP/VRRP.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS and CLI-based configuration.
• Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, OP Manager etc.).
• Hands-on experience in WAN/LAN support, including MPLS and VPNs.
• Familiarity with firewall basics (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto – optional).
• Experience with change management and ITIL processes.
Certifications (Preferred):
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Required
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – Preferred
• ITIL Foundation – Advantageous

Qualifications:
B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech / M.Sc. / MCA in Computers (preferred).
